Got this message (from someone who probably doesn’t want to be named) a couple days back:
===
“Do you know how hard I work to make money?”
===
With the rest of the message being…
… groanings and lamentings about how hard they work to earn their tiny little sack of coins.
Which:
I’m not sure was meant to get me impressed with them, or pitying them. Because of how rough and tough bringing in the bacon is seemingly supposed to be nowadays.
But my reply to that?
Money isn’t hard to make…
It’s easy!
You’re just terrible at creating value for people…
Case in point:
When I was a wee little kid in high school (yeah, I skipped grades, all while trying to look older than I really was to blend in) I took a class in Commerce.
Boring though it was, I learned something.
Namely about where money first came from, because…
… according to the brown-colored old Commerce textbook we used…
… money didn’t use to be paper.
Or numbers on a screen like it is now.
It used to be sea shells, and rocks, and shiny pebbles, and eventually they started trading goats, and sheep, and even lads and ladies, to get whatever they wanted to buy in a jiffy.
But what they all had in common?
The answer of which I had to write on all my test papers?
“Money was designed to be…
… an exchange of value!”
Meaning?
Any time someone tells me about their “hard-earned” money, or “how hard it is to make money nowadays”, the first thing that pops in my head is…
“No, making money is easy… if you know how to create value. If it’s hard for you, that means you’re just saying that you’re total rubbish at creating value.”
Which is nothing to be ashamed of, really.
I used to be the same way.
Because when you’re indoctrinated by the traditional education system to believe the myth that… the only way to create real value for society is… to work as many hours as possible, with a cup of coffee or Red Bull in hand, slaving away for a sloppy boss who wants you to do everything they say even when it’s completely wrong, with hardly any time for sleep, exercise, dating, marriage, or even having kids (like many of my friends) after overtime?
Of course it’s gonna be hard to get bigger sacks of coin!
Fast forward several years after my ‘brainwashing’, aka education, ended though…
… I finally figured out that…
… as long as you’re good at creating lots of value for lots of people, preferably people who create lots of value too so they have lots of cash to spend with you…
… it doesn’t matter whether you do it online or offline…
… or how much or how little time or effort it takes you…
… you can ‘print your own money’ on demand!
And the faster and easier you can create that value?
Obviously, the faster and easier you can print more green pieces of paper.
But… just knowing how to do stuff quickly and easily… more so than anyone else… also automatically makes you way better at creating valuable stuff too! Because you’ll naturally know how to make your products or services faster, easier, simpler, and much more enjoyable to use and get results from.
Which instantly makes you a genius ‘product creator’.
Because that’s what almost everyone in the world values:
