There came a question…
… from a Billion Dollar Bonus Formula member who doesn’t want to be named.
But:
She was basically asking about what to do if she can’t focus.
Because there’s so much she can do right now.
So much new tech.
So many new opportunities.
So much to learn.
And it’s gotten to the point that she’s spending more time chasing and learning ’bout new opportunities than… actually getting stuff done!
But a part of her wants to focus.
Because focus makes money.
Just like how specialists are paid more than generalists. And brain surgeons are paid more than GP doctors. And AI experts who specialize in a very tiny field are paid way more than those doing general ‘all-purpose’ cost-reduction AI.
However:
The other part of her doesn’t really want to focus.
It doesn’t want to get bored.
And it wants her to play around, try new stuff, try out the other stuff everyone is doing that looks so cool.
Basically:
She doesn’t wanna ‘miss out’ or get ‘left behind’.
And yeah, it’s harder than ever to focus these days…
My answer to her?
I’m probably the last person you should ask about focus. Because I don’t really focus on it that much (pardon the pun). What I focus on (and have been focusing on ever since I was a kid) was on how to master new skills quickly. So I can move on to something new. As fast as possible. And don’t need to be stuck in one place.
But:
Over the years…
I have come up with various ways to deal with the problem of ‘constantly wanting to switch’.
And one of the best ways to deal with it:
You can switch everything else.
But just have ONE thing that ties them all together.
Something you never switch.
Preferably, something that never changes.
And that has universal application across anything you do.
And can make you boatloads of money.
Now, probably the easiest candidate for that is ‘psychology’. Or specifically, psychological ‘triggers’. That you can use to get people to do what you want them to do. Preferably, something that’s beneficial for them. Like buying stuff that’s actually good for them.
And there are literally 101 different ‘triggers’ that can do that.
But all you need to do is focus on just one.
And it can make you more money than you’ll ever be able to spend in your whole life.
Case in point:
There was this terrifyingly dangerous copywriter named Rodney Napier who was really active a couple decades ago. He wasn’t good at all aspects of sales copy. Or marketing. Didn’t even use all the psychological triggers.
But he was a genius in the art of creating ‘social proof’.
He’d photograph how busy his manufacturers were creating all his products.
He’d talk about how the phones kept ringing off the hook with people wanting to buy.
He even got reporters in to show them how factory workers were scrambling 24/7 just to meet demand.
And he wrote entire ads showing just that.
Very little about how good the offer was, or what it does. And LOADS on how many people were going crazy for it. And like I mentioned in my last email on ‘how to legally knock out your neighbors if they don’t buy your stuff’, people buy things just to copy what other people are doing.
And he made hundreds of millions doing that…
… in the 80’s and 90’s.
To the point that:
He got so rich, he retired to pursue his dreams. Of being a cop. And somewhere in America right now, a $100 million net worth cop is driving around. Catching crooks in your neighborhood. Doing every thing he ever dreamed of.
And so it goes:
Can’t focus on what niche to be in…
… what AI tools to use…
… what business model to focus on?
Screw it.
Do whatever you want.
But just focus on one psychological trigger that moves the needle. And gets people to buy every time. Then just remember to use that. In everything you do. In all your content. All your sales copy. All your marketing and advertising. All your communication. In every niche. On every social site. In everything you prompt AI with.
Keep using that ‘trigger’ over and over again.
Until you master it. And using it comes as naturally as drinking water. And you start making more money than you know what to do with.
The best trigger to start with?
Whatever sounds the most interesting and sexy to you.
