Flesh and blood sales-making machines

The biggest mistake most marketers and entrepreneurs make?

Thinking that you’re a cold-blooded machine.

You’re not.

So don’t even try working like one.

You’re not even an AI.

So don’t write like one. Or talk like one. Or create like one.

Remember this, and a boatload of your biggest business and health problems will melt away like snow. Yes, even mental health problems. So much so that people around you will start staring at you in awe…

Case in point:

  1. When I first started out looking for gold online many moons ago, I still remember the 21 hour days. The ‘3 hours of sleep’ nights. Thinking the longer I worked, the sooner I’d get there. But the opposite happened.
  2. Your body ain’t a machine. It needs rest. It needs sleep. It needs recovery. The longer I worked, the slower I got.
  3. Your body isn’t designed to be seating your hiney ho on a chair all day long. Not even for hours long.
  4. The longer you do it, the slower you get, and the higher your blood sugar, blood pressure, and flab around your belly gets.
  5. When the body ain’t movin’, the blood ain’t movin’, and the brain ain’t workin’.
  6. Your brain isn’t just in your head. Neuroscientists now know that your fingers build your brain, your toes build your brain, your hands build your brain, your feet build your brain, and even your gut is part of your brain.
  7. Squishing your gut by squeezing your butt in a chair around the clock doesn’t do any good for your thinking.
  8. Most people think the younger you are, and the fitter you are, the longer you can sit your hiney ho down and concentrate and focus. Right? WRONG!
  9. Even the fittest, most accomplished athletes can’t operate without regular breaks, rest, and relaxation. And by regular, I mean every minute!
  10. Dr. Jim Loehr, the world renowned performance scientist who worked with many of the top athletes in the world in every sport, spent his whole career uncovering this. The difference between a #1 in the world athlete and a #100 in the world athlete is simply that… the #1 in the world is better at taking micro-breaks in between sets, in between plays, in between anything. They’re constantly looking for ways to recharge and rest at every moment.
  11. You can recharge by closing your eyes, counting your breath, walking around, daydreaming, fiddling around with something else and distracting yerself.
  12. The best soccer player in the world, Lionel Messi, is known for walking around more than any other outfield player. While everyone around him’s constantly sprinting and exhausting themselves.
  13. He spends 47% to 80% of a match simply and leisurely strolling.
  14. Other than constantly recharging and maintaining energy, the slow pace gives his mind time to think, scan, observe, and plan his next move.
  15. Stop trying to work, read, learn, study, hustle non-stop for long stretches of time. It just doesn’t work.
  16. Alternate mental activity with physical activity. And vice-versa. A happy body is a happy mind. And vice-versa.
  17. I only started to make big, huge, leaping gain in my business after I read Dr. Jim Loehr’s work and understood this.
  18. It not only reversed my productive-decline, but also reversed my health declines from long-hours sitting my butt in a chair.
  19. Great channel on YouTube, Insulin Resistant 1, you can look it up. The guy spends all his time trying different foods, activities, and experiments, and tracking his blood sugar levels with a continuous glucose monitor. Just a 10 to 20 minute walk is enough to lower blood sugar by lots.
  20. Constantly sitting for long stretches wrecks havoc on blood sugar. So does stress caused by long stretches of working and thinking.

Long story short:

The body affects the mind as much as the mind affects the body.

So don’t try to treat your body like a machine.

It ain’t one.

So don’t work like one.

And don’t write like one either.

Not sure what else I can say about this, except that…

This is one of the subjects I cover in a little more detail in my latest work on how you can quickly and easily create Dopamine On Demand in your content and copy.

Namely:

How to tap into the brain-body connection.

With simple little words.

Images. Even videos. Or art.

So that you can consistently create surprising new stuff that doesn’t just ‘lock itself’ in people’s brain cells while throwing away the key, but also physically, and literally, gets their bodies twitching and throbbing as they read everything you say.

With some of the latest, cutting-edge neuroscience used by scientists working for Fortune 100 companies.

Like Nike.

Microsoft.

And even the US Military.

5 more days before I close it down.

P.S. And yes, I also cover the neurological reason why writing like a machine is going to get people tuning out, zooming out, and just not paying any more attention to you.

And by writing by a machine…

… yes that includes writing with AI.

Or even getting AI to teach you to write.

Which just turns your writing into cold, hard, crap.

Like one of my email copywriting friends discovered to his shock and horror recently when he accidentally lost his ‘edge’…
