This is a shocking, but true story:
A couple months ago…
I was reading ’bout this card designer who worked for Hallmark. You know the company that makes your Christmas cards? And Father’s Day and Mother’s Day and Great Ancestor’s Day cards?
Yeah…
… that’s the one.
But:
Turns out that the job ain’t all its cracked up to be.
Because this card designer guy, eventually got bored of it. So bored to tears that…
… he decided to book a one-way ticket on a plane…
… and in a moment of desperation, just to escape the boredom that had so slowly but surely consumed him…
… he jumped out of the plane!
But:
Of course…
He landed safely.
Because he had a parachute.
And was just skydiving.
But, while you might think it was just skydiving, for him… it was a welcome release from the yawn-inducing boredom of his day to day J.O.B. as a wage slave. And he found the experience so exhilarating. And exciting. And heart pounding. And chest thumping.
So much so that…
… he started doing it every week!
While loving and savoring every moment of it.
Until sadly, and unfortunately…
… tragedy struck several months later:
One day, right after he jumped off the plane. He thought everything was ok. His parachute seemed fine. His descent was perfect. Everything checked out without any issue. And it was all fine and dandy… just like every other time he’d ever dived from the sky.
That is, until…
… mid-descent, he started…
… yawning!
And wondering what he was gonna have for lunch when he got home. Which, to his shock and horror, told him that…
… he was bored again!
But the reason I mention this?
Its because most people, most marketers, most entrepreneurs, most business owners are totally wrong about one thing.
And that’s:
What they think makes for exciting content.
And copy.
That doesn’t get people bored and gets you ignored.
But instead, hooks and reels people right in.
And makes people raise their eyebrows in surprise at how interesting it all is. And how much they’d love to hear more from you.
Some people think you need an exciting niche.
Like skydiving.
Others think you have to constantly talk about exhilarating, heart-pounding, anxiety-inducing new topics that gets people’s guts wrenching, and their blood flowing.
Like skydiving.
Yet others think you have to live some sort of captivating lifestyle, or have speech so smooth, you’d be mistaken for the next Casanova.
Who excites people as much as skydiving.
Wrong!
Wrong!
Wrong!
That might or might not help.
But, the real reason why your words, speech, videos, and images are getting people’s brains so bored? That they’d rather nosedive outta a moving aircraft than read the lukewarm text you spue out of your fingers and mouth? It has little to do with any of those. Because that’s not how the brain decides whether something’s boring, or it’s not.
Even stuff you’d think was exciting could…
… turn out being as boring to the brain as watching water boil…
… if you don’t get this principle right.
A principle I call “T”.
Which you might have heard me talk about before.
But:
Out of all the principles I mention in my latest work, on how to create Dopamine On Demand in your content and copy, this might be the most important. Because none of the other stuff works effectively enough if they’re not paired with “T”.
But as for what the “T” principle is…
… and how you can use it to…
… create content and copy in a way that never bores the brain again…
… no matter how normal, common, and everyday blah usual you’d think your niche, topic, or talking points are…
… as well as how you can use it to craft and carve out, not only content and copy that nab you raving and rabid fans begging for more of you, but also products that are innately dopamine-oozing, to the point that people’s brains get addicted to buying them again and again, even with very little marketing…
… then here’s where you book your flight:
