The wifey very nearly got run over by an Instagram scam a few hours ago…
An art contest scam.
Where you had to pay them a few bushels of money to join.
But which they’d refund every penny to you if you didn’t reach the next round… which… never happens… because just like all of these scams… and like a newbie kindergarten teacher handing out prizes like free candy because they don’t want to get in trouble with the parents… everyone always “wins”!
Which they’ll never tell you on the “sales page”…
But you’d better join right now!
Because the deadline for registration ends today…
… even though it was posted just a few hours ago…
… and your hopes of becoming a world famous artist who destroys everyone else out there like an evil AI overlord gone bat-poop crazy disappears for good!
Luckily:
The wifey showed me that Insta ad before she joined.
And even more luckily:
Since I’d been studying hundreds of books, videos, interviews, and articles about scam psychology written by some of the world’s greatest scammers for my last work on how to Scam Your Brain Productive, to the point that I’m probably in danger of turning into a real-life criminal mastermind myself the next time I’m short of “excitement”… I could instantly see that it reeked of… filthy scumbag con artistry from India!
Which it really did.
A fact I double-confirmed after Googling the Instagram account a few hours later, and finding hordes of complaints from unsuspecting victims who lost their money.
But not before I spent an hour messaging each of the over hundred persons who replied to the ad for details on the contest.
To let them know it was a scam.
But which I pretty soon found out was pointless.
Because they were squashing down on the “ad spend accelerator” like crazy. And the number of comments kept growing like muscles on steroids.
And even though I reported the post to Instagram…
… I seriously doubt they’ll do anything about the account.
Since it’s been active for around 3 years now, based on the date of complaints. And they’ve amassed over 300k followers. Which they probably got by running “follower-getting ads” on Instagram for $0.001 per follower from countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
Yeah.
Pretty sure Mark Zuckerberg is too busy partying on Jeff Bezos’ yacht to care.
But:
I’m pretty surprised at how good I’ve gotten at spotting scams these days.
All that knowledge didn’t go to waste, it seems.
Knowledge that…
… I’ll share with you right now.
Because these scams are pretty brutal. And I don’t want anyone on my list falling for any of them. Last thing I’d want to wake up to is an email from anyone I know losing their coin. And I know this lady who got scammed out of her entire life’s savings before. I mean literally, they got her bank details and drained all of it!
But the good news though?
She didn’t have much saved up!
Well, I’m not sure if that’s good news or not…
But anyways:
The most important thing to look out for… if you want to know if you’re being scammed… is whether you’re being put under pressure… to act now! Like how this scam was posted a few hours ago, but said that the deadline was today. Literally almost zero time to think. Anything that takes away options for you to wait, and forces you to act almost instantly, or you’ll lose something or lose your chance to get something… you need to pause and think about whether it’s a scam.
And if you got my work on how to Scam Your Brain Productive, I went into more detail on this.
But the second most important thing?
If anything looks weird… or unusual… or different from normal…
… take note and pay attention because…
… chances are…
… it’s a scam!
But most people aren’t observant enough.
They see something a little off, and they ignore it. And reason to themselves that “the poor bloke probably had a bad day today, woke up on the wrong side of bed he did, so his language’s a little off”.
Don’t kid yourself, though.
The better you are at paying attention to…
… weird or unusual things…
… even the tiniest things that are out of place…
… like how for this art scam contest I noticed that some of the words on the ad were different from the entry requirements on their website…
… the more you observe, the less likely you’ll get scammed, and…
… the better of a marketer and business owner you’ll be!
Because:
All it takes is observing one little quirk in human behavior that you never noticed before, and that’s all it takes to make you rich. And this is probably the biggest difference between pro marketers, and newbie marketers who only know how to copy what all the guroos are doing (don’t!).
Case in point:
One of my friends, who’s one of the world’s top email marketers, Andre Chaperon, noticed a weird behavior in people one day.
He noticed that people couldn’t stop binge watching soap operas.
Why?
Well, they had cliffhangers.
So he took this unique observation which no one else had at the time, wrote emails as if they were soap operas, and started making boatloads of money. To the point that all the guroos took notice and started inviting him to events to talk about it.
I’ve tried it.
Too hard, I don’t like it, and I don’t like soap operas either.
But it worked for him.
And it all started with one tiny observation that no other online marketer had ever made before. That he injected straight into his marketing. And broke the bank.
But guess what?
There are thousands more of these quirks in human nature out there. Just waiting to be discovered and profited from.
You just need to be more observant…
… and watch carefully.

P.S. I finally figured out what I want my next work to be about.
Since I have 40+ books sitting on my desk…
… waiting for me to read and clear off my list in the next 10 days…
… I think I’ll take the single most profitable marketing lesson I get from each of these little-known books that you’ll probably never hear marketing guroos talk about, and put them all into one little dossier.
That you could take and start profiting from right away…
… without sitting on a chair until your butt hurts reading dozens of books at a time.
Sounds fun. I’m looking forward to it!
