If you were wondering why…
… 15-year-old kids on YouTube these days are making more (way more) bucks than their 50-year-old teachers (and parents, and maybe even you), here’s a little lowdown…
Based on what I’ve learned over the last year.
From some of my viral ‘kid’ mentors:
[+] They started learning the art of ‘getting attention’ at age 11!
[+] And attention is one of the most valuable ‘commodities’ in the world right now. But not just now. It’s always been that way. You can’t sell until you get their attention!
[+] These kids practice gaming the algorithm, trying to figure out what grabs and keeps attention… almost every waking hour!
[+] They do Youtube (or Instagram, or Tiktok) in school. While tapping away on their laptops in class. In some schools, in between classes too.
[+] They go back home and continue uploading videos. To see what works.
[+] They get super fast feedback. On what words, images, videos, audio, music, etc. work. And what doesn’t. Within hours. Because YouTube shorts means you get data almost instantly.
[+] Fast feedback, means you can test and try new things fast.
[+] They’re obsessed with getting the numbers up. It’s like playing on the Nintendo Switch.
[+] Contrary to what most people think, 80% of the success of a video is your script, the words you use, and when you use them.
[+] Some of them have mentors too.
[+] They’re constantly testing new videos, until the wee hours of the morning, even at 3, 4, or 5 am.
[+] Once they start making enough money, actually a lot of money, they negotiate with their teachers to adjust their classroom schedule so they can run their new ‘online business’.
[+] If teachers don’t allow, they have a talk with their parents. (Most teachers are too stubborn to accomodate them)
[+] Some of them, because of all the money they’re making, have permission from parents to drop out of school and pursue YouTube marketing full-time, because they weren’t learning anything in school anyway.
[+] The most successful ones treat it like a business. Not a ‘hustle’.
[+] They don’t earn all their income from ads. They sell sponsorships, merch, affiliate stuff, courses, coaching, consulting, and build email lists with millions of subscribers so they can sell… monthly recurring software!
[+] It’s not hard to get millions of subs if you’re an expert at getting billions of views.
[+] Most of them are relatively low tech. Using very little AI.
[+] Because it’s faster to do it manually.
[+] And YouTube, and other platforms, are cracking down hard on AI right now.
[+] A lot of them have very successful business mentors.
[+] Most of them got started by learning how to do video editing.
[+] They got really good at it. Started freelancing and earning bucks doing that first. Started meeting successful YouTubers by doing this. And getting advice from them.
[+] Some of them are so obsessed with video marketing, they have no friends.
[+] So they create private coaching communities and teach people, for money… and friendship!
[+] Most of them are really good guys. And gals.
[+] They didn’t get rich over night. They spent years honing their craft. Some of them more seriously than others.
[+] Most of them start with viral Shorts. Then took the skills from there and moved on to doing Longs. Because Shorts give faster feedback. So you learn faster. About how to make people stop, watch and stay.
[+] Some of them know human psychology to a level that would put a lot of psychologists to shame.
[+] They’ve spent years, and countless sleepness nights figuring out what people pay attention to and why. As well as, what makes people… stop paying attention… so they can avoid it!
Surprised?
Success of any kind isn’t luck.
And it’s not that they’re smarter than you.
They just got more time. And started earlier than you. Or in the words of billionaire investor Warren Buffett, “The secret of success is starting early”.
But:
As his billionaire partner, Charlie Munger also once said, “The only way to learn is by making mistakes. But they don’t have to be your own.”
Which is quite fortunate.
Because it means you don’t have to get started at 11-years-old. To crack the attention-egg. And learn how to get people engaged, and addicted to your content (and copy).
All you have to do?
Learn from the mistakes those kids have made for you.
So you can shortcut your way to profits.
And that’s what I’ve done with my new One-Minute Word Hacks.
Putting almost everything I’ve learned by studying these kids’ failures, successes, mistakes, and basically everything they’ve taught me… into one little manual. Containing some of the fastest, easiest ‘word tweaks’ you can quickly do right now to make almost any type of content (and copy) utterly irresistible, and almost impossible to ignore.
Just like how these kids easily get 80% to 90%… and even as high as 97% on one video I saw… video retention rates (how many people actually stop and watch the video almost till the very end) on almost all their content.
I’ve seen these ‘hacks’ work (and used these) across niches you’d think were so boring…
… you could patent the content as a drug…
… to send insomniacs straight to Dreamland!
But even then, they still seem to work.
Because psychology works everywhere.
But anyways, here’s where it’s at:
